[Pro] How to install and activate the Customizr Pro theme from your WordPress admin ?

After purchasing the  Customizr Pro Theme, it will not be automatically installed in your website. You will need to download the .zip file and install it manually as a Theme ( not a plugin ) and activate it in your WordPress admin.

Once installed, you'll be able to enter your purchase key to activate the theme.

Downloading Customizr Pro Theme

1. You will need to download customizr-pro.zip (Customizr Pro Theme) from your account.
2. You can login here http://presscustomizr.com/account/
3. Click on DOWNLOADS tab and you will find customizr-pro download link.
4. Click on customizr-pro download link and save a copy on your PC.
   Note : If you are using a Mac, you might need to change your preferences in Safari to stop unzipping the file automatically. More about this here : http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/961/how-to-stop-safari-from-unzipping-files-after-download

Installing Customizr Pro Theme

1. Login to your website's WordPress dashboard.
2. Navigate to Appearance -> Themes
3. Click on Add New Theme.
   

   

4. Click on Upload Theme button
   

5. Click on browse button ( step 1 ). You will see a pop up window on your PC.
   Navigate and find your customizr-pro.zip file. Click on Install button ( step 2 )
   

6. Wait for the installation proceed to complete. Click on Activate link to activate Customizr Pro Theme.
   

   

Check Menu allocation and Setup Featured Pages

After completing installation of  Customizr Pro Theme, you will need to do the following.

1. Your menu items will be intact, but your menu could be dropped from it's location.
   
   In this case, you will need to assign your menu back to your menu location.
   Navigate to Appearance -> Menus, click on location tab and assign menu back to it's location if it's dropped.
2. You will need to setup your Feature Pages, they will not be carried over.

Activating your Customizr Pro Key

The activation must be done as follow :

1. Paste your key in the relevant field.

   

2. Then click on Save Changes
3. The page will reload and a new button saying Activate Key will appear: click on it and you're done.

   

It is important to save first and then click on activate. Even if you need to replace one license key by another.
